Bob Shuman, CEO
Bob joined Vigilos in 2000, and prior to being named CEO, Bob had at various times led the software development, operations, IT, and government sales efforts for the company. Prior to Vigilos, he led the 20-city rollout for Bazillion, Inc. a
completely IP-based total communications provider. Previously, he was Vice
President of Product and Project Management at Metawave Communications. From
1983 through 1997, Bob was at Bell Labs (later Lucent), where his roles included
product team leader for the CDMA development program, a 2000+ staff-year, $280
million development effort to define and create a complete digital cellular
platform that had garnered 65% of the CDMA world market share at the time of
his departure. Bob is a member of ASIS International, the largest organization advancing the security profession worldwide. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
Jim Engle, Vice President of Sales
Jim directs the efforts of our sales team at Vigilos. He is a seasoned technical sales executive with a depth of experience for several well-known companies in the software and high-tech arena. He has experience leading and collaborating with sales teams at Unisys, Compuware, and IBM as well as a variety of smaller software and technology companies. His management experience spans sales leadership roles and technical sales management. Jim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Marc Swenson, Vice President of Technology Operations
Marc manages software development, quality assurance, and IT for Vigilos. Prior to joining Vigilos in 2000, he was Director of IT and Network Engineering for Request4Bid, an online auction site, FreeRange Media, a website development company, and SP Investments, a real estate and telecommunications conglomerate. Marc attended the University of Washington in Business Administration, and is MCSE certified.
Kara Hamilton, Vice President of Professional Services and Finance
Kara directs all implementations and customer support as well as finance and administration. With Vigilos since 2000, she has held key roles in finance, development and operations. Prior to Vigilos, Kara was Manager of Financial Planning and Systems for Xypoint in Seattle. Kara holds a BSC from Santa Clara University.
