In fact, I suspect every Super Bowl game has been sold out since the big game was first played back in 1967, and the 2012 Super Bowl will be sold out too.   The only sure way to get tickets to this years New York Giants versus New England Patriots game, is on the secondary markets, at places like Stubhub.com, SeatGeek.com, Ticket Network, razorgator.com, etc… While you should be able to get them, Super Bowl ticket prices will hard to swallow. You either have to be quick on the draw and have some serious cash, know someone who knows someone who has tickets,  or work for the right company who has corporate box seats. Meanwhile, the rest of us poor people will just have to order that case of Bud Light, a couple for 2 for 1 pizzas, some Cheetah’s and Doritos, and sit our fat asse down on the couch for four hours.

But not all is lost.  At least we’ll be able to see all the big, expensive, shiny new commercials, schlepping their wares.

The 2012 Super Bowl goes Sunday February 5, at the Lucas Oil Statdium, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Kick-off time is 6:30 PM Eastern time.  The people of Indianapolis certainly didn’t have a lot to cheer about this year, but at least they get to see another Manning play this year.  That’s assuming they can afford the outrageous Super Bowl Ticket prices!

Games one and two of the ALDS are in New York’s Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.  New York vs Detroit game one goes Friday September 30 at 7:30 pm , and game two goes the next day, Saturday October 1.  Yankees vs. Tigers Games 3 and 4 go in Detroit at Comerica Park on Monday October 3 and Tuesday October 4.  Times for Game 2, 3, and 4 have not been announced yet.

It should be a classic series, and it’s great to see the Detroit Tigers in the playoffs.  It’s been a long time since the Detroit Tigers fans have seen a playoff game at home, while the New York Yankees fans have come to expect their beloved team in the playoffs each and every year.  No matter who your team is, be sure to act fast if you want to get decent Yankees vs Tigers tickets.  Oh, and GO TIGERS!!

The Boston Bruins are playing with an abundance of confidence, and Brad Marchand is on FIRE.  The Vancouver Canucks meanwhile, are looking hesitant, afraid of getting hit, their goalie is shell shocked, and are totally lacking any offensive power.  If they giveaway the puck in their own end one more time, I’m going to puke.

Both the Vancouver Canucks, and the Boston Bruins, are coming off some pretty rough and tumble conference final series, and both have player who are nursing various degrees of injuries.  In fact, at this point, 2 months into NHL playoffs, if you aren’t hurting somewhere, then you are likely not getting a hell of a lot of ice time.  Even I’m hurting, though just from my muscles wasting away as I lay on the couch watching 250 hours of hockey action.

Games one and two are in Vancouver.  Vancouver Vs Boston game one goes Wednesday June 1 , followed by a full two days of rest and game two on Saturday June 4.  Bruins vs Canucks Games 3 and 4 go in Boston on Monday June 6 and Wednesday June 8.

With Boston sweeping the Flyers in four straight games, and Tampa Bay Lightning surprising the Capitals in four games, both teams are going to be exceptionally well rested and recovered from any minor aches and pains. Of course there are a couple of concussion cases that may not be healed in time.

It will be interesting to see how the high scoring (of late) Boston Bruins will handle the choking defensive play of the Tampa Bay Lightning, and how they’ll manage the incredibly hot Martin St. Louis, and Vincent Lecavalier.

While the Boston Bruins beat Tampa Bay Lightning three out of four games in the regular season, I think we can all agree that the regular season record means nothing in the playoffs (see Washington Capitals). Tampa is firing on all cylinders and will make this a very tight series.

The first game of the NHL 2011 Eastern Conference Finals series between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning begins on Sunday May 15, 2011. The time is yet to be announced, but the first two games are in Boston at the TD Garden (Fleet Center) with the second game going on Tuesday May 17. Games 3 and 4 will go May 22 and May 25 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa Bay.

It will be an interesting series, with both teams fans known for their loud and vocal rabid fans, particularly the Capitals fans as they rock the red.

You can expect a tight series, given the Capitals/ Lightning regular season action. The teams played 6 times this season, with the Capitals winning the regular season series 4 – 2.  The teams played two overtime games in the regular season.
