Geof Barker (Chairman), Vice President of Licensing for Intellectual Ventures

Geof Barker was co-founder of Vigilos and CEO from inception until 2006. Prior to Vigilos, he co-founded The Cobalt Group, Inc., a leading provider of Internet and data management services to the automotive industry. As co-CEO, Geof managed the company through a successful IPO and several years of consistent client and revenue growth. Prior to that, Geof was Vice President of Business Development for IVI Publishing, a developer of multimedia software. He brings a strong foundation in the financial industry, having worked several years as an investment banker with Piper Jaffray and Salomon Brothers Inc. Geof holds a BA in Economics from Tufts University and a MBA from Columbia University.

Slade Gorton, Former U.S. Senator from Washington State

Prior to joining the prestigious law firm Preston Gates and Ellis, Senator
Gorton represented Washington State in the United
States Senate for 18
years, from 1982-2000. While in the Senate, Gorton
served on the Appropriations, Budget, Commerce, Science
and Transportation, and Energy and Natural Resources
Committees. He served as chairman of the Interior
Appropriations Subcommittee (1995-2001), the Commerce
Subcommittees
on Consumer Affairs (1995-99), and Aviation (1999-2000).
He was also a member of the Republican leadership
as counsel to the Majority Leader (1996-2000). Gorton
began his political career in 1958 as a Washington
state representative; he went on to serve as State
House majority leader. In 1968, he was elected attorney
general of Washington state, where he argued 14 cases
before the Supreme Court. Gorton also served on the
president's consumer Advisory Council (1975-77) and
on the Washington State Criminal Justice Training
Commission
(1969-1981). He was chairman of the Washington State
Law & Justice Commission (1969-76), served as
an instructor in Constitutional law to public administration
graduate students at the University of Puget Sound
(1977), and has served on the Board of the Fred Hutchinson
Cancer Research Center since 1987. In 2001, Gorton
served on the National Commission on Federal Election
Reform. |
Bob Wolfe, Managing Partner, Northwest Venture Partners

Bob Wolfe is Managing Partner of NWVA and has over 28 years of finance, operations and technology management experience. Prior to joining NWVA, Bob was president and chief operating officer of Toronto-based GT Group Telecom, then Canada's largest independent telecommunications provider. Before GT Group Telecom, Bob was chief financial officer of Trillium Corporation, a private international investment company. While at Trillium Bob served as Chairman of Gargoyles, a manufacturer of specialty sunglasses. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years at Goldman Sachs. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Pacific Lutheran University. Bob is a director of Dategrity, IP Fabrics, NetMotion Wireless, Sababa Group and Vigilos.

Steven Clifford

A 14-year veteran of King Broadcasting Company,
Steve joined King as CFO and later assumed the role
of President and CEO. Steve also was the Deputy Controller
for the City of New York. He is a Director of Harbor
Properties, Laird Norton Company, Todd Pacific Shipyards
, Mosaica Education, Inc., KING FM, National Mobile
Television and Vigilos, as well as a trustee for several
Seattle-based organizations. He earned his MBA from
Harvard, and his BA from Columbia University.

Shaun Wolfe

Shaun Wolfe is a 20-year veteran of the enterprise software industry. He is the founder of two start-up companies and most recently was President and CEO at WRQ, Inc — a $100M enterprise software company. Shaun has experience building businesses from the ground up and scaling complex go-to-market strategies and channels worldwide. He has extensive and direct experience in R&D, marketing, sales, executive management, and international strategies & operations. He has also been involved in and led a number of acquisitions, divestitures, and equity funding activities. In addition to his role as Vice Chairman of MessageGate, Wolfe serves on the board of several organizations, including serving as the past chair and current board member of the WSA (formerly Washington Software Association), the Treasurer of Artsfund, and the board of advisors at Western Washington University. |
Bob Shuman, CEO - Vigilos, Inc.

Bob joined Vigilos in 2000, and prior to being named CEO, Bob had at various times led the software development, operations, IT, and government sales efforts for the company. Prior to Vigilos, he led the 20-city rollout for Bazillion, Inc. a
completely IP-based total communications provider. Previously, he was Vice
President of Product and Project Management at Metawave Communications. From
1983 through 1997, Bob was at Bell Labs (later Lucent), where his roles included
product team leader for the CDMA development program, a 2000+ staff-year, $280
million development effort to define and create a complete digital cellular
platform that had garnered 65% of the CDMA world market share at the time of
his departure. Bob is a member of ASIS International, the largest organization advancing the security profession worldwide. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. |
